Internal Social Business – 2.0 Adoption: People in Progress
Blog Post, Case StudyThe 2.0 Adoption Council has been researching what’s happening on the ground inside of large organizations in the process of internal social business transformation. Along with IBM and MIT’s Center for Digital Business, we've created a series of short vignettes and company narratives on how large organizations are finding opportunities and challenges reinventing themselves. These initiatives are often led by a small team, sometimes a single individual who is driven to help the company work a better way — a more connected, dynamic and socially calibrated way of interacting for business.
Measure What Matters
Blog PostBrands should measure what matters and will help them to achieve their specific objectives. When businesses only pave the cowpath instead of reinventing their measurement models around social, then they will only see incremental results at best. Social is a whole new way of doing business. Just as strategies and processes will need to adapt, so will metrics.
Committing To Social Media Monitoring

The Biggest From > To in a Generation
Blog PostYesterday wrapped up Austin City Limits, an incredible 3-day multi-stage music festival in Austin, Texas. The event seems to be marked by the weather each year. There was the dust bowl year of 2005, and of course last year was the Dillo Dirt (and rain) year. This year will go down as the perfect weather year, I think. One great thing about all outdoor music festivals in general, is that they are great equalizers. It doesn't matter what your social or economic status may be, we're all just hanging out on the grass trying to get a good view of the next band. In my case, I find myself sitting next to high school kids who have never known a day without internet access. It brought home a little bit of Tony Zingale's keynote speech at Jiveworld 2010 about how we're in the middle of the biggest From > To in a generation.
